I do agree with your assessment of food helping you lose the midriff. While I don't have a six pack yet, eating "clean"/healthy is sure helping me get there, plus you putting me through my paces in our training sessions. Will point out we have never really done an abb exercise as I recall.
Yeah, ab exercises are really only there to help correct an imbalance. Your spine is like the mast on a ship, the core muscles being the wires holding it stable. If one of those wires/muscles gets too tight or too lose, the strength of the entire structure becomes compromised.
Rottweiler tossing? I understood everything else you said, but was a little confused :-). I would try, but would probably get bit.
