  1. You should not stretch the muscle group your about to work right?

    1. Yes! Stretching a muscle deactivates the amount of neural input it gets. Meaning that it won't contract as readily. If you're going to go lift something heavy or move really fast, you want your nervous system humming and ready - not sleeping. A better option would be myofascial release.
